The work showcased on this site spans my two-decade career as a photojournalist, documentary photographer and traveler. My work has been focused on both international and domestic emergencies and disasters, and in my down time, I photograph wildlife and landscapes.

I have traveled to 52 countries and 45 states, shot everything from famine and refugee crises to natural disasters of all varieties, and worked with international Non-Government Organizations, FEMA, photo agencies and newspapers.

Travel and humanitarian work are my passion, and I have built my life around the premise that there is always more to learn about the world, about myself, and about our spectacular natural environment. I have found that there are always new ways to give to those who are less fortunate, and to speak for and protect those who cannot speak for themselves.

I count myself among the luckiest and most blessed humans to have been given the courage, drive and means to forge a unique path for myself...one that has taken me on incredible adventures beyond my wildest dreams. I consider my work to be both my responsibility and my calling.

I hope you will be inspired by my journey and find something special in this collection to grace the walls of your home or office.

I personally print each image, and if you choose to have them framed, I use a local framer here in Marin County in Northern California, that crafts each frame in house, using FSC certified wood.

I source post-recycled packaging wherever possible and all packaging used is recyclable where facilities exist.

As this is a small, limited edition shop, I ask that you please be patient and allow ample time for your images to be printed and framed. Creating each individual piece takes time, as does framing and shipping.

Each piece will be numbered and signed on the back, unless otherwise specified.

Custom sizing and framing options are available. Please contact me directly for more information.

For each image purchased, I will be making a $25 donation to the fund of your choice from the list below, so I ask that you select one and write it in the notes of your purchase. If you do not select one, I will select something for you. Feel free to make suggestions of other worthwhile organizations. It is my hope to be able to update a list of how much money has gone to each organization every few months.

I have chosen these organizations based on their outstanding work and impeccable practices, and many are those that I have personally worked with, or those that I myself donate to annually.

Thank you so much for your interest in my work, and for supporting these worthy causes with your purchases:

  • African Wildlife Foundation
  • Center for Biological Diversity
  • International Rescue Committee
  • Jane Goodall Institute
  • Medecins Sans Frontieres (Doctors Without Borders)
  • Natural Resources Defense Council
  • Oceana
  • Rainforest Alliance
  • UNHCR (United Nations High Commission for Refugees)
  • Women’s Refugee Commission
  • Kliptown Youth Program

I am currently working on a documentary about unaccompanied minors from Zimbabwe in South Africa, and writing a book about my adventures as a photojournalist.

For inquiries about working with me for projects or assignments, please contact me directly.

When I am not working or traveling I can be found in Marin County where I live with my son and my 2 dogs.

Thanks again for your interest in my work.
